Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year! Teachers and other staff have been working hard to prepare for the best school year ever. It will be filled with learning lots of English, making new friends, reading many books, opening to new ideas, helping others, studying hard, and enjoying the work and fun of learning.

Jon Harriman

Jon is originally from a small town in northwest Arkansas where his family has lived for many generations. After studying microbiology in university, he lived in Tonga in the South Pacific for two years as a Peace Corps Volunteer, then in Madrid for another two years to study Spanish, and finally in New York for the past nine years. After ten years of teaching science, he started training other teachers at Flushing International High School and is now working as the assistant principal.
